Community program opens doors for youth
|

The Intel® Learn Program extends learning opportunities beyond the classroom,
using an engaging, project-centered approach. The program helps young people in
developing communities around the world to develop skills and make connections that
enrich their lives and prepare them to succeed in the knowledge economy.
The goal of Intel Learn is to help youth, ages 8 to 16, develop 21st century skills,
with a focus on digital literacy, critical thinking, problem solving, and collaboration.
This program was developed with governments and non-governmental agencies to meet
the specific needs of emerging markets. The program, delivered through local community
centers, includes learner curriculum and structured training for community center
staff. To date, this program has already reached more than 662,000 learners and
has been deployed in Brazil, Chile, China, Egypt, India, Israel, Mexico, Turkey
and Russia.
